In the AEC industry this is critical to tackling design issues towards more energy efficient and resilient buildings. Betsy del Monte, FAIA, is a consultant with the firm of Cameron MacAllister Group, advisors to the design and construction professions. CMG offers targeted advisory services to help firms become better at what they do and is considered a trusted voice with many leading design firms.
Betsy brings her devoted interest and experience in making a more sustainable and resilient built environment to help design-oriented firms discover and achieve their goals in these areas, and to help them integrate sustainable thinking more fully into their culture, organization and work. She also teaches graduate courses in sustainable design and development at the Lyle School of Engineering at SMU.

Betsy has been President of AIA Dallas, VP of TXArchitects, and chair of the North Texas Green Building Council. She has been named a Fellow by the AIA, and a Senior Fellow by the Design Futures Council. Betsy received her BS in architecture from the University of Virginia, and a Master of Architecture degree from Rice University. Her experience includes work at architecture firms in Atlanta and Houston, as well as nine years with Philip Johnson and John Burgee in New York.
